Biography

Caroline Schober is a biochemist and molecular biologist with many years of experience in international management. She has worked as a marketing and change management consultant on projects in industrial minerals in the U.S. and in China. After a decade in research management of several large national and international research projects, she managed the Institute of Molecular Bioscience at the University of Graz from 2011 to 2016. Since 2016, Caroline Schober has been Vice Rector of Research and International Affairs at the Medical University of Graz. She is co-chair of the Vice-Rectors for Research at the Austrian Rectors Conference uniko and chair of Open Science Austria. She serves both on the Expert Group on Open Science and the Advisory Board for Digital Transformation of the European University Association (EUA) as well as on several other (Advisory) Boards and Panels.
