Internationale Studierendenmobilität

International student mobility

Med Uni Graz offers students, graduates and trained medical doctors from abroad the opportunity to complete part of their education or professional development at Med Uni Graz. Our students can also receive support to go abroad several times during their studies. This is possible thanks to numerous partnerships worldwide as well as special mobility programs and scholarships.

Your student days are an excellent time to obtain international experience and become acquainted with a foreign language and culture or another educational, research and health care system. As a renowned university with a global reputation, Med Uni Graz provides a number of opportunities for international students to spend time at our university.

Outgoing Student Mobility

Thanks to partnerships with universities worldwide, nearly 50 percent of all Med Uni Graz graduates have gained experience abroad during their studies. Our students can receive support to go abroad several times during their studies for study abroad, clinical rotations, internships during the clinical practice year, internships in dentistry or nursing and also selected research stays and summer/winter schools. Our strategy includes our own programs and scholarships (clinical rotations and research abroad, joint study, free mover scholarships), participation in the Erasmus+ and CEEPUS mobility programs and the Swiss-European Mobility Programme (SEMP) as well as a framework agreement with the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation.

Our students can obtain information in MUniverse or from the International Office.

Tips for more sustainable mobility

Studentin am Flughafen

The Trip

  • Plan your trip well and take into consideration different means of transportation (e. g., bus, train).
  • Avoid flights if possible, above all short-haul flights. If you fly, book nonstop flights.
  • Travel with little luggage. This also makes it easier to avoid taking a taxi after you arrive.
  • Compensate for CO2 emissions.
  • Print out your travel documents only if it is absolutely necessary.

  • Discover the surrounding area in the host country instead of driving far.
  • Take public transportation when you check out the host country.
  • If you travel throughout the country, stay in environmentally friendly accommodation and support sustainable tourism.
