All individuals who would like to be admitted to the Medicine degree program (O 202) or the Dentistry degree program (O 203) for the first time in academic year 2023/24 must take an entrance exam at the Medical University of Graz.
Exempt are applicants who are listed in part II § 3 of the regulations regarding the enrollment restrictions (Verordnung über die Zulassungsbeschränkung).
Please note that the exam is held in German and C1 level in German is recommended. If a place is awarded, C1 level is required.
In academic year 2023/24, a total of 346 places are available for first-year students in the Medicine degree program.
The places will be awarded to the applicants who rank among the top 346 on the "MedAT-H" entrance exam and meet the requirements according to § 4 par. 2 of the regulations regarding the enrollment restrictions (Verordnung über die Zulassungsbeschränkung).
In academic year 2023/24, a total of 24 places are available for first-year students in the Dentistry degree program.
The places will be awarded to the applicants who rank among the top 24 on the "MedAT-Z" entrance exam.
Applicants who are completing a degree program in medicine or dentistry at another postsecondary educational institution in Austria or abroad and have already earned 180 ECTS credits may apply for lateral entry at the Medical University of Graz.
The entrance exam takes place on Friday, July 7th 2023 at the Messegelände Graz (Messeplatz 1, 8010 Graz).
